  • 8 Ways to Handle Anger (without fighting)

Learn strategies that will help handle anger in safe and appropriate ways.

Catch your anger then cool off. In this segment children will learn to recognize what anger feels like inside their own body.  And then realize they have to “catch” it before it takes control. Children also learn that when you count to 10, or say the A,B,Cs it gives you time to cool off and helps make angry feelings go away.
Walk Away. Move your body. This segment of the program gives viewers a very simple strategy for controlling angry feelings…walk away from who or what is causing you to feel angry.  Then, to help make your angry feelings go away, you can move your body by exercising or playing a game.
Talk about your angry feelings. Children learn that telling a friend or grown up why you feel angry can help to make your angry feelings.  Talking about how you feel is a good strategy for getting rid of your anger.
